An action packed game saw New Bradwell beat Grendon Rangers 6-1, with a hat trick from new signing Stacey Field, a brace from Nimmy Aji and one from Tyrone Taylor.

Bradwell started off well, having their first corner in the 9th minute but Dan Hart’s header landed in the keeper’s hands.

Grendon were shown the first yellow card of the game in the 15th minute.

The home sides’ first goal came in the 17th minute when a great ball in by Field found Aji and only minutes later Aji made it 2-0.

The away side were quick to respond. Their first corner of the game saw them make it 2-1 when they headed the ball into the back of the net.

Bradwell’s new signings teamed up for the third goal in the 22nd minute. Alvin Rajaram crossed the ball to Field who got his first of the game.

In the 33rd minute Aji’s attempt hit the keeper but ricocheted and landed in front of Field to make it 4-1.

A free kick for Rangers just outside the box moments before half time thankfully resulted in nothing.

Bradwell made their first substitution at the start of the second half bringing on Will Wright for Ross Stone.

Dan Green made a good save in the 54th minute pushing the ball onto the post allowing Bradwell to clear their lines.

It looked like the home side were going to extend their lead in the 61st minute but they hit the bar twice before Rangers were able to clear the ball away.

A second and third substitution for Bradwell saw Steve Flux replaced with Caleb Bolton in the 64th minute and Ash Farmer replaced with Jamie Leech in the 80th minute.

A free kick for Bradwell found the head of Field in the 84th minute to secure his hat trick and make it 5-1.

To round the game off Taylor got the sixth goal for the home side in the 86th minute.

New Bradwell’s next game is at home to Loughton Manor on Saturday 1st October, kick off 3pm.

New Bradwell St. Peter vs Totternhoe

New Bradwell dropped to sixth in the league after a 4-3 defeat to Totternhoe, with goals from Jamie Nicholls, Billy Lobjoit and an own goal scored by Gilliaime Mouha-Mouha.

It didn’t start well for Bradwell, after only five minutes of play the away side were 1-0 down after Daniel Lambert found the back of the net.

But the home side bounced back quickly and Nicholls was able to equalise, six minutes later, after Bradwell were awarded a corner.

In the 17th minute it looked like Bradwell would take the lead when the referee pointed to the penalty spot. Lobjoit stepped up to take the kick but Daniel Saunders saved his shot brilliantly.

An own goal in the 19th minute saw the home side take the lead and maintain it until just before half time.

Nimmy could have extended Bradwell’s lead in the 22nd minute but his shot went just over the bar.

Joel McCormick was shown a yellow card in the 35th minute after handling the ball and in an unsportsmanlike act kicked the ball away.

In the 40th minute Totternhoe equalised when Dan Green couldn’t react quick enough to stop Lambert’s shot.

New Bradwell made their first change of the game just before the second half got under way, replacing Warren Garcia with Ross Stone.

The substitution proved vital for the home side as Stone cleared Aiden Murray’s shot off the line to deny Totternhoe of the lead.

Unfortunately in the 61st minute the ball went straight through Green’s legs to put the away side 3-2 up.

Ash Farmer was shown a yellow card two minutes later and Lambert got his third goal of the game in the 69th minute, when Bradwell’s defence and Green were all over the place.

The home side were able to pull one goal back when Nicholls found Lobjoit and he headed the ball round the post to make it 4-3.

New Bradwell’s next game is at home to APBS FC on Saturday 10th September, kick off 3pm.
